Training will be provided, which will enable you to become an integral part of the homecare team. We are looking for a pharmacy technician who has strong communication skills and who is confident working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and external providers. Candidates will be highly motivated, a team player and someone that can respond to the pace of a busy acute Trust.This is a desk-based role and could be a great opportunity for a pharmacy technician looking to make the move into hospital setting, or perhaps a change in direction.Our homecare team have patient contact mainly via telephone and are heavily involved in prescription management.Main duties of the jobOnce trained, the successful candidate will be able to carry out a range of homecare operational duties, including team supervision and deputisation for the lead pharmacy homecare technician.We are looking for someone who will be able to oversee technical elements of ourhomecare service, including:
  • timely processing of prescriptions
  • monthly monitoring of supplier KPI's
  • audit contribution
  • invoice processing
  • prescription tracking
  • record keeping
  • supply issues
  • and workload management.

  • Supervise the team of technicians and assistants involved in the delivery of the Pharmacy Homecare Service, providing cover and support where necessary to the lead pharmacy homecare technician.
  • Maintain and develop the highest standards of patient focused care in the provision of homecare Services.
  • Support in the co-ordination of the day-to-day operational aspects of the Homecare service. Prioritise and manage the workload effectively.
  • Assist patients with queries or concerns regarding Homecare services and escalate where appropriate to relevant seniors/ clinical colleagues.
