- Support with individual plans and strategies, ensuring the focus is on being child-centred and needs-led.
- Give advice on appropriate strategies to be used on an individual and whole school basis, promoting the inclusion of children with SEND.
- Monitor the impact of additional support on follow-up visits.
- Assist staff with monitoring, recording, and evaluating pupils' needs.
- Keeping pupil records, databases and systems up to date regarding support provided.
- Working collaboratively with SEND colleagues. including Education Health and Care Plan Co-Ordinators (EHCCos), Educational Psychologists, social care and health professionals, parents and carers, ensuring a strong and effective culture of collaboration.
- Co-producing and delivering training on various SEND topics to schools/setting staff and other professionals within the SEND Service.
- A relevant professional qualification.
- Hold a current valid driving license and access to a car as the job involves travel to multiple schools during the working week.
- Be prepared to continue professional development by attending training, collaborating with peers and initiating independent research.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
- The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- All unspent convictions and conditional cautions
- All spent convictions and adult cautions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020 and 2023).
