The successful applicant will be working at senior trainee level.Successful applicants need to have full GMC registration. FRCS examinations. There is no on-call commitment.The timetable will vary week to week and will include the following:Initially supervised and then independent attendance in symptomatic new patient referral clinicsSupervised attendance at MDTs, results and reconstruction clinics, and operating lists. Including preparation and case presentation.Peri-operative care and operating lists with appropriate supervision including a wide range of breast procedures and lists with all members of the team.Opportunities to attend specialist clinics eg genetics clinics, screening assessment clinics.There is scope to progress to independent practice with remote supervision dependent on appropriate competencies.   • Full registration with the GMC (with appropriate English language qualifications as required) MRCS and / or FRCS or equivalent international surgical degree / qualification
  • Medical degree, Evidence of CPD, Evidence of participation in annual appraisal or ARCP
ExperienceEssential
  • Evidence of commitment to Oncoplastic breast surgery, Micro-fellowship for 12months in plastic and reconstructive surgery
Desirable
  • Basic skills in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery
  • Experience of multidisciplinary working and evidence of participation in such a team
CommunicationEssential
  • Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families and other health professionals. Able to develop, present
  • Able to delegate appropriately Able to use judgement to make decisions in order to solve problems/enquiries
  • Able to present and receive complex information within the multi professional team Able to work in a team
