- Supporting young people to achieve their individual learning goals, including targets outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Adapting class resources to suit individual needs-this could include enlarging text, modifying instructions, or other creative solutions.
- Working one-to-one with students to review and adapt their support needs, ensuring the help they receive is always relevant and effective.
- Taking part in ongoing training and professional development, supported by the Learning Support Manager.
- Empathetic, adaptable, and ready to use their initiative when supporting learners in real-time.
- A strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships with students and staff.
- Flexible and open-minded in approach-every day is different, and that's part of what makes this role so rewarding.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- Ideally, some experience working with people with SEND, though this is not essential if you're a fast learner with the right attitude.
