About the roleAt Balfour Beatty, our work matters to millions - and it'll matter to you too. We're looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Suction Excavator Operator to join our Strategic Assets team. You'll be part of a dynamic function that delivers operated plant hire and technical services across the UK.What you'll be doing
  • Operate truck-mounted suction excavators safely and professionally
  • Travel to sites nationwide and carry out works as instructed
  • Maintain high standards of service and customer focus
  • Conduct basic HGV maintenance and comply with driver hours legislation
  • Identify and report safety issues and defects
  • Work flexibly, including nights and weekends, as required
Who we're looking forEssential:
  • Experience operating suction excavators
  • Safety Critical Medical certification
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and groundworks
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Clear drive and ambition
Desirable:
  • NVQ in Suction Excavator Operations
  • HGV Class 2 Licence and Full CPC Driver Card
  • CPCS Suction Excavator training
  • NRSWA Streetworks certification
