Start Date: September / October 2025We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a popular primary school in Berkhamsted. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development.The role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils across different ability levels
- Assist with planning, preparation of learning materials, and classroom organisation
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils' social and emotional development, as well as academic progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support pupil achievement
- Have proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (essential)
- Be confident supporting phonics, reading, writing, and maths at primary level
- Be proactive, reliable, and able to adapt to the needs of the class and individual pupils
- Show patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping children reach their potential
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
