Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a patient, supportive, and enthusiastic individual eager to make a difference in the lives of primary-aged pupils?GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Chapeltown (S35) area. As a Primary TA, your role includes assisting with classroom management, providing one-to-one or small group support, and helping pupils with additional needs or learning difficulties.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities across the primary curriculum.
  • Assist pupils individually or in small groups to enhance their learning and confidence.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers as required.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged pupils is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
