This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, develop pupils’ reading, writing, and analytical skills, and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire pupils to develop literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and personal development.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and pupil behaviour.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance learning outcomes.
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of English curriculum, literature, and language instruction.
- Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
