As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop students’ creativity, technical abilities, and understanding of design processes across Key Stages.Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons that cover a range of topics including product design, resistant materials, graphics, and CAD/CAM.
- Create a safe and inspiring learning environment that encourages innovation and independent thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with other staff to support the wider curriculum and school initiatives.
- Maintain and manage workshop tools, equipment, and health & safety standards.
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Specialism or experience in teaching Design Technology at school level.
- Strong classroom management and a passion for creative, practical learning.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Provide a full CV with a clear 10-year history, with any gaps explained.
