You must be able to demonstrate a proven capability in developing manufacturing data packs and supporting documentation.Specific duties will include drafting and management of technical documentation to support to manufacturing processes and the specification of plant and equipment. Managing project plans and reporting progress against project plans.A good knowledge of statistical techniques for measuring process capability and maintaining process control would be an advantage, including an understanding of six-sigma tools and techniques.Role Responsiblities:Not limited to...
  • Develop manufacturing documentation for manufacturing processes in line with engineering plans and business requirements to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
  • Author technical specifications for plant and equipment, ensuring appropriate stakeholders review and approve technical specifications.
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for manufacturing processes, ensure SOPs align to process control documentation i.e. Process Control Plans, PFMEA and risk assessment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation suites that support manufacture of product and support safe operation of process i.e. manufacturing plans and risk assessment.
  • Coordinate and manage project data files capturing process and plant information; to include acceptance testing, trials and commissioning.
  • Create file structures in a technical document library and populate files will all relevant technical information.
  • Report on the status of the development of technical data packs, ensure maturity aligns with the requirements of Lifecycle Management.
What are BAE Systems looking for from you?
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce work instructions and Safe Systems of Work
  • Have a sound understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • A national engineering qualification or a time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
Desirable
  • Experience in programming solutions in support of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project data capture
Security Requirements: SCThis role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
