- Typing and processing AOS letters and Electronic Discharge Letter (EDL's)
- Scanning PICC line documents onto ARIA (departmental system)
- Collecting and compiling AOHS data reports for local and national partners
- Accurate recording of patient data in real time and retrospectively
- Prompt and efficient management of the Cancer Nurse Specialist (CNS) Admin mailbox for PICC/PORT appointments with NCIR & Vascular Access
- Fulfil the role of Ward Clerk on AOHS
- Update the Somerset Cancer Registry as and when required.

- Create and edit patient letters relating to clinics in an accurate and timely manner and be able to prioritise workload.
- Appropriately handling patient hospital notes and documentation as per the Trust procedures/policies using case notes and/or MediViewer for correspondence to be filed correctly.
- Update RTT in accordance with Trust guidelines. Assist the Administration and Clerical team with data management utilising PAS and other departmental patient databases.
- Work in line with department guidelines and policies and offer suggestions for improvements to procedures/policies to support the continual development of the service.
- Organise and manage workload to deliver service requirements; plan ahead and liaise with colleagues to ensure continuity of service provision during annual leave.
- Liaise with all member of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the department.
- Adhere to trust and National guidelines with regard to health and safety issues.
- Any other tasks commensurate with the grade of this post at the request of the department, Administration and Operational managers to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Retrospectively review Acute Oncology and Haematology Service clinics and telephone lists on ARIA to accurately input information on to PAS and update RTT history according to trust policy.
