
Field Service Mechanical Fitter

- Undertake Field Service work as a Mechanical Technician on customer sites.
- Apply trade-specific skills and broader mechanical competencies to complete tasks safely and effectively.
- Follow instructions from the Supervisor or Site Manager while taking responsibility for your own work.
- Identify and report defects or issues to the appropriate level.
- Support daily work execution and contribute to problem-solving on-site issues.
- Complete inspection records accurately and on time.
- Work in line with risk assessments, method statements, and safety practices.
- Show motivation and commitment to site programmes.
- Take part in training to develop skills, and support the training of junior colleagues when required.
- Maintain exceptional attendance, punctuality, and time management.
- Support company-wide initiatives such as Zero Harm, Talk to Me, and Right First Time.
- Be available for frequent travel within the UK and overseas.
- A time-served electrical/mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.
- At least 3 years' mechanical fitting experience, ideally in power stations or construction sites.
- Knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, or generators (preferred).
- Understanding of turbine auxiliary systems (advantageous).
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Flexible approach to adapt to the needs of site work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Computer literacy is an advantage
