- Setting the overall strategy for the CLCC's languages provision, ensuring sustainability and robust student recruitment languages modules.
- Providing strategic leadership in curriculum design, delivery, and innovation across the Languages field.
- Supporting and inspiring your team to explore new pedagogical approaches and digital transformation opportunities.
- Leading the design of assessments, learning materials and feedback practices that enhance student outcomes.
- Overseeing staff development, robust recruitment, and performance to build a motivated, high-performing teaching team.
- Delivering engaging and inspiring teaching to undergraduates.
- Contributing to the wider educational mission of Imperial through scholarship, educational research and committee participation.
- Representing the Languages section internally and externally, collaborating with sector leaders and professional bodies.
- A degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, with a teaching qualification in Higher Education.
- Demonstrable success in leading teams and managing large-scale language teaching operations, ideally in a STEMMB context.
- Strong expertise in curriculum development, digital innovation, and the use of student-centred teaching and assessment strategies.
- A strong commitment to inclusive teaching, continuous professional development, and reflective practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire teams and engage stakeholders across the university and beyond.
- You will be recognised for your contributions to language education, with a commitment to evidence-based practice, inclusive teaching, and continuous professional development.
