Health & Safety Advisor
Location: London (Hybrid/Flexible working considered)
Reports To: Senior Health & Safety Advisor / DirectorWe are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced H&S/CDM professional to contribute to a diverse range of projects, predominantly in the residential sector, while also supporting clients with expert health, safety, and compliance advice.Key Responsibilities:Lead on CDM-led projects within the Professional Services teamSupport project teams in meeting CDM 2015 and wider health & safety requirementsPrepare Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and Construction Phase PlansSubmit F10 notifications and develop Designer Risk AssessmentsCompile and manage Health & Safety Files and Design Risk RegistersAttend and contribute to Design Team and progress meetingsCarry out CDM site audits and inspectionsAdvise Clients, Designers, and Contractors on best practices across the design and construction phasesPromote HSEQ and ISO standards across the businessRequirements & Qualifications:Essential:Minimum TechIOSH (CMIOSH preferred)IMaPS or AaPS membershipNEBOSH Construction CertificateDemonstrated experience in a Principal Designer or CDM Advisor roleExperience across residential projects (other sector experience advantageous)Ability to self-manage workload and report to senior managementStrong stakeholder engagement and influencing skillsDesirable:Experience in fire and building safetyBackground in team coordination and leadershipKnowledge of current health & safety legislation and industry best practicesKey Competencies:Planning & Organising: Excellent time management; able to manage multiple tasks across varied project timelinesCustomer Focus: Builds strong relationships with clients and maintains trust and credibilityTeam Working & Development: Coaches and supports junior team members; fosters a collaborative environmentAttention to Detail: Delivers high-quality work with thoroughness and precisionEffective Communication: Confident communicator across all levels, using diplomacy and professionalismDrive & Results: Highly motivated to exceed performance goals and deliver project successWhy Join?A supportive, people-first team cultureExposure to exciting, high-profile projectsStructured career progressionOngoing professional development opportunitiesHybrid and flexible working arrangementsAldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
