O'Neill & Brennan are currently working with a tier 1 Main Contractor who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of construction projects across London. This role is key to ensuring that Health & Safety standards are consistently maintained and improved across all site operations. You may be working independently on a single project, as part of a larger site-based H&S team, or supporting multiple smaller projects simultaneously.Key Responsibilities:Provide on-site Health & Safety support and guidance, ensuring project teams understand their responsibilities.Ensure compliance with relevant UK Health & Safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM Regulations 2015, and RIDDOR 2013.Carry out regular inspections and audits to monitor adherence to safety protocols and drive continuous improvement.Assist with the preparation, review, and implementation of H&S documentation such as RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, and Lift Plans.Maintain accurate H&S records using management system software, in line with legal and company requirements.Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and coordinate any required external training.Participate in investigations of incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and supporting preventive actions.Contribute to the performance evaluation of subcontractors and supply chain partners with regard to Health & Safety.Provide regular updates and reports to senior H&S personnel, escalating issues when necessary.Compile and submit relevant data, statistics, and reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.About You:Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within the UK construction industry.In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and practical experience applying it in a site environment.Skilled in site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Comfortable delivering H&S briefings and communicating with a range of site-based teams.Familiar with H&S management software and reporting systems.Holds a NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification).What's on Offer?Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression.The chance to work on impactful projects that contribute to communities.A collaborative working environment that values safety, quality, and innovation.O'Neill and Brennan values diversity and promotes equality, All individuals will be treated in a fair and equal manner and in accordance with the law regardless of gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation
