INTERNAL VACANCY OPEN TO EXISTING STAFF & VOLUNTEERS OF ST LUKE’S HOSPICE PLYMOUTH ONLYWe are inviting internal applications for an opportunity to join the Reception team at our Turnchapel site working over a 4 week rota:Week 1: Friday – 08:30 to 17:00 (8 hours)Week 2: Saturday & Sunday – 09:00 to 17:00 (15 hours)Week 3: Wednesday – 08:30 to 17:00 (8 hours)Week 4: No shifts (0 hours)Subject to change as business needs alterRole Overview:As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the Hospice. Your responsibilities will include:· Greeting and welcoming all visitors· Answering and directing incoming calls via the switchboard· Taking accurate messages and handling incoming and outgoing post· Supporting the wider Reception team in creating a positive and compassionate experienceYou’ll play a vital role in ensuring that the Hospice’s values are upheld through a friendly and respectful environment for patients, families, staff, and volunteers.About You:We are looking for someone who:· Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Demonstrates strong organisational abilities and attention to detail· Can remain calm and professional under pressure· Has a confident and courteous telephone mannerWe’re an equal opportunities employerWe welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
