- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of complex learning needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans.
- Use non-verbal and alternative communication strategies to engage and support learners.
- Support class teachers in planning and delivering lessons and learning activities.
- Contribute to monitoring and assessing progress.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Prior experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Have patience, empathy, and a positive approach to helping children.
- Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and techniques to manage challenging behavior is advantageous.
- Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
