- Under the expert guidance and supervision of teacher, conduct learning activities differentiating and tailoring curriculum to meet the needs of assigned students with special needs.
- Create and assess specialised learning activities.
- Encourage students to collaborate and communicate with one another.
- Participate in creating, organising, and carrying out students' individual development plans.
- As students are learning, keep an eye on their behaviour and conduct and take action to address any complex, hard, or challenging issues.
- Must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Training in behavior management and de-escalation techniques is desirable.
- Experience working with children who have a variety of disabilities and/or learning difficulties, or an eagerness to go through training.
- Be aware of and knowledgeable about different additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD and SEMH.
- Confident in the delivery of pre-planned lessons and interventions.
- Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
