
Software Calibration Engineer (Fixed-Term)

- Support prototype vehicle integration of an electric drive unit controller into a customer vehicle.
- Work closely with the customer engineers to manage prototype vehicle electronic interfaces to the YASA powertrain.
- Work closely as part of the YASA software team to investigate and resolve issues relating to vehicle integration.
- Manage prototype vehicle application specific calibration for the YASA motor controller.
- Provide customer support for controller software setup, electronic integration and track testing.
- Supporting dyno and track testing activities as required.
- Collecting and analysing of vehicle electric powertrain test logged data to allow optimising software parameters.
- A relevant degree such as computer science or automotive engineering.
- A good understanding of embedded control systems.
- Familiar with common automotive software calibration tools such as Vector CANape or ETAS INCA for data logging and parameter tuning.
- Experience with CAN communication protocol.
- Ability to read and understand software control strategies implemented with Simulink models.
- Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach.
- Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with industry best practices for software calibration management.
- Knowledge of common automotive communication and calibration protocols.
- An understanding of vehicle electric drive systems and their control strategies.
- Hands on software testing in a dyno or trackside environment.
- Motor sport dyno or trackside experience.
