We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse working within the OphthalmologyOutpatients Departments in Gartnavel General Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the Ophthalmology team, deputising in the absence of the SCN, supervising and supporting an experienced team of RN's and HCSW's. You will have the responsibility of assessment delivery and supervision of all care needs within the outpatient department. You will be required to work within a busy clinical area, working collaboratively with both nursing and medical teams. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of evidence based care utilising your clinical skills to assess patient's needs, implement and evaluate care. You are required to be flexible, forward thinking and able to work effectively within changing and dynamic environment. You will be an effective leader and should have excellent communication and sound decision making skills with evidence of ongoing professional development. Experience within the specialty is essential.
