This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong subject knowledge to inspire students, provide targeted academic support, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.As a Subject Specialist, you will:
- Deliver engaging subject-focused support sessions across a range of year groups.
- Work with students 1:1 or in small groups to raise attainment and build confidence.
- Support teachers in delivering lessons by sharing your subject expertise.
- Encourage positive behaviour and student participation in learning.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- A strong academic background in your subject area.
- Previous experience supporting young people in an educational or mentoring capacity is desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with any gaps explained.
