As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 8 engineers, ensuring maintenance and engineering operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on management role where you will be expected to balance planning, team leadership, and technical oversight. While based primarily at the Scunthorpe facility, the role will also involve travel to additional sites as required.Engineering Manager - Key responsibilitiesManaging and developing a team of engineers, providing training and support where requiredPlanning workloads and prioritising tasks to minimise disruption to productionEnsuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to a high standardMonitoring budgets and controlling departmental costsCoordinating with suppliers to ensure materials and parts are sourced efficientlyDriving continuous improvement, reducing downtime and wastage wherever possibleOverseeing long-term projects and scheduled shutdown worksSupporting engineering requirements across multiple sites when neededEnsuring compliance with all relevant health and safety proceduresAbout youProven experience in an engineering management role within a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical or electrical background with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and building servicesExcellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a teamCompetent in Microsoft Office and familiar with planned and reactive maintenance systemsStrong organisational skills with the ability to make effective decisions under pressureAs Engineering Manager - What’s on offerBasic salary circa £52,000 per annumQuarterly bonus scheme with potential to earn up to £58,000 per annumStaff discountsPension schemeSubsidised canteenOn-site gymFree parkingThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to join a progressive manufacturer offering strong rewards, career stability, and the chance to contribute across multiple sites.At Venatu Recruitment Group, your right to privacy is important to us.
