We are seeking a talented Employment Solicitor with around 2+ years’ post-qualification experience to join a highly respected Legal 500-ranked practice in Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, within a friendly and supportive team environment.The friendly, Employment department works closely with both employers and employees, offering practical, commercially focused advice.Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters including contracts, policies, redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, and TUPE issues.
  • Advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Representing clients in employment tribunals and managing pre-claim negotiations.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the firm to provide joined-up legal support to clients.
  • Contributing to business development and client relationship management activities.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor with around 2+ years PQE in employment law
  • Solid technical expertise and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience advising both employers and employees.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Commercially minded and solution-focused.
