To provide support to Children and families, male and female victims, within our domestic abuse safe accommodation services in Walsall, with an element travel to other safe accommodation within the Walsall area.Working with and responsible for a case load of clients.Carry out needs and risk assessment and produce support plans with the clientsRegularly assessing risk and safety planning.Working closely with local and national partner agencies.Working on a rota basis including evening shift and weekend shifts.This support is specifically around Domestic Abuse, Forced Marriage, Honour based violence and Female Genital Mutilation on an individual basis, using a person-centred, trauma informed approach that focuses on helping them to maintain a tenancy and move towards independent living.Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.About youExperience of providing housing related support and/or working with victims of domestic abuse (or other specialist knowledge of domestic abuse services).Able to deal with complex cases.Ability to produce monitoring information.Work at pace, be proactive and use your own initiativeYou will be flexible and adaptable in being able to meet the needs of our clientsAbility to deal with a demanding workload and to prioritise effectively whilst maintaining attention to detailResponding in line with GSA policies and procedures including implementing safeguarding processes and MARAC referralsExperience of and ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook to an intermediate standardHave a current driver`s license and access to a vehicleThis post is open to Female applicants, due to the specific requirements of this role, this post is exempt under the Equality Act (2010), Part 1, Schedule 9 (Genuine Occupational Requirement).We are striving to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and all employees are expected to actively support Equal Opportunities Policies.Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed.
