
Domestic Abuse Services - Pathways Worker

- To provide a first response to callers who need safe accommodation
- Liaising with victims and external agencies to establish if domestic abuse accommodation is available and safe for the victim
- Establish risk posed to the victim and assess suitability for accommodation services
- Offering immediate advice, liaising and signposting to other agencies
- Receive and process referrals to the service from a variety of sources including specialist agencies, housing, social care, police, health care staff and self-referrals
- Ensure appropriate and safe travel arrangements are in place for service user
- Advertise vacancies on Refuges Online and with Walsall Housing teams, keeping this up to date.
- Work with Housing IDVA to ensure information is shared appropriately on new service users coming into the scheme
- To ensure allocated support workers are aware of the background of the new service user and their family by maintaining UpToDate and accurate client records
- Management of data and produce weekly and monthly reports
