Associate Director£75,000 - £92,000PermanentManchester, North WestA leading civil structural consultancy is seeking an Associate Director to contribute to infrastructure programmes across defence, energy, urban development, and water sectors. You'll be at the heart of business development and engineering delivery, working on iconic heavy civil projects both in the UK and abroad.Your responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee teams delivering technical design work to high standards using current design codes and best practices
  • Define project briefs and scopes, and contribute to compelling bid proposals
  • Manage project timelines and budgets to meet key milestones
  • Collaborate with UK and international teams to deliver integrated design solutions
  • Ensure design quality through rigorous assurance standards
  • Build and nurture heavy civil engineering capability and expertise within the practice
About you
  • Is a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer (or equivalent)
  • Has hands‑on experience overseeing multidisciplinary design delivery
  • Has strong expertise in designing heavy civil engineering structures, especially reinforced concrete and/or steel, across all phases from concept through construction
  • Is well‑versed in British Standards and, ideally, familiarity with other codes such as American standards
