About the role:An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional individual to join an ambitious and values-led University, transforming futures across the globe. You will obtain and understand information from across all areas of the University, building public confidence and trust, as part of our busy and friendly Governance and Legal Services team.You will be responsible for managing your own caseload from end to end, working with internal and external stakeholders, producing responses to information requests and delivering a professional service. You will have the skills and experience to evaluate and communicate information, with the opportunity for further training and development.As part of this role, you will give specialist advice and lead developments to ensure the University operates to high standards of openness and transparency. You will also use your skills to build understanding among colleagues across the University on their duties in relation to Freedom of Information and Data Protection and will support wider areas of information governance and information resilience.About us:Governance and Legal Services bring together Governance, Legal, Data Protection, Business Resilience, Insurance, Health and Safety and high level administrative, policy, and strategic support services for members of the Vice-Chancellor's Executive and the Board of Governors.How can you help?We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organised individual who is able to demonstrate excellent planning, organisation, critical thinking and communication skills, and able to work collaboratively with professional and academic colleagues across the whole institution to ensure consistent and timely responses to FOI requests, to ensure compliance with legislation.You will be accomplished in dealing with a number of projects running concurrently at any one time.You will be committed to continuous improvement and able to demonstrate a positive, proactive approach to delivering an excellent service.Where is this role based?This post is based at our lively campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.Why UWE Bristol?We are one of the largest providers of Higher Education in the South West with 38,000 students and 4,000 staff from right across the globe.
