We are looking for a Trainer Assessor to deliver high quality Apprenticeships through the adherence of the Quality Assurance Procedures which support the strategic direction of the Childbase Academy.To support, mentor and train the learners who are studying Level 3 through to Level 5 work based qualifications in managementTo ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessing to support continued development and upskilling of the Childbase Partnership workforce.VacancyTrainer Assessor - £33,000 + company car
  • Needs to live Winchester area as the nurseries they will support are along the M40 corridor - will need to travel to our Head Office once a week in Newport Pagnell
  • We would consider someone who holds their Level 5 management, roughly working 38 caseloads.
  • Must hold their level 3 in Early Years

KEY ROLES AND RESPSONSIBILITIES:· To provide initial advice and guidance (IAG) to potential learners about appropriate qualifications, delivery and assessment methods and progression routes.· To conduct initial assessments relating to knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the qualification and to carry out initial assessments and diagnostics for English and Maths as appropriate.· To identify any recognised prior learning (RPL) through use of our RPL Policy and Procedure and to attribute this to each learners qualification they are studying, taking into account reduced time and fees.· To sign up learners for the agreed qualification and carry out full induction procedures, including introduction to the e-portfolio and any other online resources in use.· To support the planning and updating of training and assessment materials and to upload materials on to online platform as needed.· To train learners through face to face group sessions, workshops and video conferencing either individually in their nursery or at a suitable venue and directing to online training programmes.· To plan in conjunction with the learner and the Nursery Management Team how to meet all criteria required in the Apprenticeship standards.· To support learners to build a portfolio of evidence for their qualification (as required) and to assess this and observe their workplace practice to enable them to complete by their planned end date.· To direct learners to resources in preparation for functional skill exams and to liaise with their functional skills tutor if necessary· To arrange and invigilate exams where necessary.· To provide feedback and guidance on knowledge, practice and behaviours.· To review progress with the learner and the Nursery Management Team every 8-10 weeks.COMMUNICATION:· Ensure all communication is carried out in a timely manner appropriate to the audience.· Attend, participate, lead and support where required staff briefings, conferences, meetings, social events, and annual road shows.· Work as part of a field based team ensuring that regular contact and updates are made.· Collaborate where necessary with other departments such as Quality and Training Team.OPERATIONAL:· Contribute to own annual Partnership Review and Interim Review meetings throughout the year as well as contributing to nursery staffs review's through appropriate feedback channels.· Assist with the organisation and administration of training sessions, ensuring that paperwork is distributed and filed appropriately.· Carry out all administrative duties of the role including plans and reports.· Manage the field based nature of your role to ensure time management and priorities are met.HEALTH AND SAFETY:· Undertake and complete the Company Induction on Health and Safety· Ensure a thorough knowledge of the Health and Safety Manuals as appropriate.· To remove, or bring to the attention of management, any potential health and safety risks.TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:· Complete all Mandatory and Health & Safety Training to ensure compliance and knowledge is kept updated.· Maintain continuous professional development, updating of job knowledge through access to company and local training calendars. A minimum of 30 hours (pro rata) of vocational CPD should be carried out annually.GENERAL:· Work co-operatively and positively within and outside your work group, ensuring that the Company's Equal Opportunity Policy is adhered to at all times. Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and feelings of colleagues, children and other people.· Maintain a professional approach, behaviour and confidentiality at all times e.g. work issues should not be discussed in a social context. An appropriate relationship should be maintained with learners, staff and parents at all times - both in and outside nursery.· Develop working relationships with nursery colleagues with additional responsibilities e.g. Graduate Leaders, SENDCOs etc.· Ensure all Company Policies and Procedures are maintained at all times.The post holder may be required to undertake other duties or be subject to variation by the Head of Academy to reflect or anticipate the needs of the Company· To abide by internal and external quality assurance measures, make portfolio's available for sampling when requested, be observed by the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) and contribute to standardisation meetings.· To attend team meetings, standardisation meetings and external quality assurance visits as required.· To prepare the learners for their end point assessment according to the standard.
