My client, a Financial Services Broker based in the City, is offering an excellent opportunity for a second-jobber with around 12 - 18 months' experience in general accounts. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow within the finance function and gain exposure to a wide range of accounting duties. With structured training and long term development opportunities, this is the perfect platform to build your career within financial services.What You'll Be Doing
  • Purchase Ledger - Processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and supporting payment runs
  • Sales Ledger - Raising VAT-compliant invoices, allocating receipts, and assisting with credit control
  • Banking & Cash - Daily/monthly reconciliations, petty cash, and expense processing
  • Month-End - Supporting journals, accruals, reconciliations, and VAT returns
  • Finance Support - Maintaining records, answering queries, and assisting with audits
About You
  • Exposure to both purchase and sales ledger
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Comfortable using accounting software (Xero, Sage, or similar)
  • Accurate, detail-focused, and confident working to deadlines
  • Proactive, ambitious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced team
  • Discreet and professional when handling confidential data
