Expected Shortlisting Date18/09/2025Planned Interview Date22/09/2025An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to join the Facilities Transport Team at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.The successful candidate will be reporting to the Facilities Operational Manager and they will have overall responsibility for the Transport services.Main duties of the jobThe role involves assisting the Facilities Manager in the day to day delivery of the service and its systems. The post holder will deputise for the Facilities Manager in their absence. On a day-to-day basis manage the performance and effectiveness of their supervisors and Transport staff. To give on the spot advice in practices, procedures and performance of their Transport Supervisors and staff.To build relationships with all levels of staff from Senior Sister down within each functional area. To assist in the implementation of all the operational administrative systems that have been directed by the agreed Transport strategy. To ensure that all staff receive mandatory training with annual refresher, and that best practices/protocols are implemented, followed and adhered to at all times. To ensure that all trust agreed infection control policies, practices and procedures are adhered to. To ensure that the service provision remains within financial and weekly paid hours targets. To implement any of the Human Resources policies e.g. sickness, capability, grievances, recruitment etc. To promote excellent industrial relations within the team and support other colleagues within FacilitiesAbout usLeeds Teaching Hospitals is one of the largest employers in Leeds, employing around 20,000 staff and providing care to 1.6 million patients every year.
