We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (18.75 hours).(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.We are recruiting for an Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist role within our Acute Pain Service based in the Institute of Neurological Services at the QEUH, Glasgow. This post covers the clinical specialties Neurosurgery, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Neurology and Spinal Injuries.You will be prepared to work autonomously within our team to provide safe, effective, person-centred care, developing and co-ordinating acute pain services. Facilitating effective pain management strategies for patients post -operatively and those admitted with acute pain, whilst supporting the clinical team through education provision. The post holder is required to undertake audit and research to develop the Acute Pain Service.Candidates will ideally possess significant experience in Neurosurgery/Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and / or acute pain. As this is a leadership role it is essential that you have experience of leadership at Band 6 or above.
