Educato are working on behalf of a primary school in the Tameside area who are looking recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Early Years. The school require the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant to work with the pupil for the full academic year. This is attached to the funding of the child and will go onto a school based contract after a successful probation period. The incoming SEN Teaching assistant will be expected to be ready to work in September 2025 on a full time basisThe Role:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality support to a child in Early Years in a primary school in Tameside. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
  • Support pupils with SEN
  • Experience within a Primary or SEN school
  • Experience of working within early years
  • Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
  • Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
  • Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For:
  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
  • An understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
