
Early Years Teaching Assistant

- Provide support to the class teacher throughout the school day, monitor and record pupil’s progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Work with children on a small group and 1:1 basis during Continuous Provision and teaching of Maths and Phonics.
- Upholding the school ethos and implementing relevant policies including behaviour.
- Support with developing reading fluency through delivering 1-1 interventions and reading sessions with children of a range of abilities and needs.
- Has experience working with children (EYFS setting is desirable but not essential).
- Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant Certificate). The school have stated this is desirable but not essential.
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
- Is proactive, patient, and nurturing with excellent communication skills.
- Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with children and staff.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
