As a key member of the team, the Managing Associate will have the opportunity to work alongside"Leading Individuals" as recognised in the Legal 500. Depending on experience, there will be opportunities for Partnership from an early stage in their career.The firm's Employment team has a significant presence across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, providing comprehensive employment support. This fast-growing team is known for its expertise in defending Employment Tribunal claims, advising on corporate deals, and offering strategic HR support.The RoleThe position offers an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Employment Lawyer to take on a senior role within a top-tier team and support the growth of the Employment offering. The Managing Associate will be involved in high-quality, varied work, including:Advising employers on workplace issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring, and redundanciesLeading on complex Employment Tribunal claims, predominantly acting for RespondentsProviding employment law support on TUPE matters, corporate deals, outsourcing contracts, and client trainingEnforcing post-termination restrictive covenantsDrafting contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements, and other employment-related documentationUtilising existing experience in advising large corporates, including liaising with board-level HR, general counsel, and in-house employment counselCollaborating with Partners and senior team members on business development strategiesSupervising and supporting junior lawyers, including Associates, Trainees, and ParalegalsThe Ideal CandidateThe firm is seeking a Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with at least 7 years PQE who can demonstrate:Extensive experience across all areas of employment law, particularly advising large corporate clientsStrong analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectivelyA client-focused approach with the ability to nurture and maintain long-standing client relationshipsProven experience in supervising and managing junior team membersAmbition and drive to succeed as a senior member of the team, with a commitment to developing the firm's offering both locally and nationallyThe TeamThe Employment team is recognised as a "National Leader" (Band 1) by Chambers and Partners 2024.
