
Healthcare Assistant - PACU

- Provide compassionate support to patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Assist qualified staff within both theatres and recovery, ensuring patients feel safe and reassured at every stage.
- Take and record vital signs, support with wound dressings, venepuncture (after training), and assist during anaesthesia induction.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised clinical environment.
- Handle patient documentation and maintain accurate, confidential records.
- Welcome and support patients and their families, communicating clearly and sensitively.
- Participate in training and development to grow your knowledge and skills

- Passionate about patient care, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, organised, and able to prioritise a busy workload under pressure.
- Confident in using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Committed to professional development – holding or willing to complete the Care Certificate.
- Calm, compassionate, and approachable, always treating patients with dignity and respect.
- NVQ Level 3 in Care/Promoting Independence, experience in elective surgery, or knowledge of care pathways - desirable but not essential
- A salary of £23,809.50 per annum
