Salary: up to £38,000 basicWe're working with a growing main contractor delivering a range of commercial, fit-out, refurbishment and residential projects across London. With a turnover of over £130M and a strong project pipeline heading into Q4 2025/2026, they're now looking to bring in a Document Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.This is a company growth hire - not an urgent start - so ideal for someone who may be finishing up in their current role and looking for a long-term opportunity. The team are focused on hiring the right person to support the increasing workload across both pre-construction and live projects.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain document control systems and processesEnsure all project documentation is accurately stored, filed and distributedSupport the project and design teams with document submissions, approvals and updatesMaintain version control and ensure compliance with internal and client protocolsAct as the point of contact for all document queries and updatesWork closely with site teams, consultants and subcontractors to manage document flowSupport with O&M manual compilation and handover documentationHelp implement consistent processes across multiple projects as the business growsWhat We're Looking For:Previous experience working as a Document Controller in the construction industryStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload independentlyExcellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling technical documentationClear, confident communication skills - this is key to succeeding in the roleCollaborative approach - someone who enjoys working with others and supporting a teamProactive mindset with a high level of accountabilityFamiliarity with document control systems (e.g. Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex or similar) is beneficialWhat's On Offer:Permanent position within a growing, forward-thinking main contractorCompetitive salary and full benefits packageSupportive team culture and clear career pathOpportunity to help shape and improve internal systemsLong-term stability and exposure to a wide mix of London-based projectsApply now to be considered for the role.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
