
Analyst/Associate – Credit Transaction Management

- Real Estate Capital Partners (RECP) Support: Responsible for the day-to-day management of loan positions within the RECP loan portfolio. Key loan-level management activities include:
- Processing drawdown requests and disbursements
- Coordinating asset releases
- Reviewing reporting and waterfall release
- Supporting instruction of new valuations
- Managing minor amendments and lender consents
- Portfolio Transaction Management: Includes but is not limited to: (i) Review and approve specific draw down requests, (ii) Develop expertise in assigned portfolio, policies and guidelines, and provide value added advice to internal partners, (iii) Ensure compliance with Bank Policy, and (iv) Participate in team deliverables with respect to regulatory/audit requests.
- Annual Reviews: Ensure Annual Reviews of existing credit relationships are completed in a timely fashion and maintain a high quality of work.
- Data Integrity: Ensure credit agreement terms are correctly reflected in the Bank’s systems and that all credit documentation is accounted for and reviewed in a timely basis (e.g. credit agreements, amendments, waivers, security documents).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely and maintain positive relationships with Real Estate Capital Partners (RECP), Group Risk Management (GRM), and Funding and Lending Services.
- Other Responsibilities: Completion of ad-hoc projects and other duties (including presenting to key stakeholders) efficiently and effectively in order to support the team’s planned and unplanned demands.
- Strong academic credentials including completion of Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering, Mathematics or any other problem solving fields
- MBA or CPA, CFA professional designation (completed or near completion) or a post-graduate degree with a focus in business, accounting, economics, mathematics or other quantitative field would be an asset but is not required.
- Proven work experience in a related field, including banking or corporate lending experience, finance and/or risk management, or knowledge of structuring and writing of credit proposals, credit processes and policies
- Highly motivated self-starter with keen attention to detail and strong interest in corporate finance and credit
- Ability to read and understand complex legal documents (e.g. loan agreements, security documents)
- Strong credit and analytical skills including the ability to critically assess financial statements and other client reports to draw reasoned conclusions and recommend a course of action
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong negotiation skills and an ability to manage conflicting demands and viewpoints, and multiple stakeholder expectations
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to interact at all levels within a large organization
- Ability to prioritize, perform well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
- Strong general PC Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
