  • Response and Resolution (Patrol, scheduled resolution)
  • Local Policing Neighbourhood

  • Prevention (community engagement, safer schools, missing persons)
  • Matrix (specialised roles such as Roads Policing, Disruption, Firearms, Mounted, Dogs, Airport, etc)
  • Force Intelligence Bureau (Covert Intel, Forensics, Counter-Terrorism, Cyber Crime)
  • Investigations
We are currently welcoming applications from substantive officers with a keen interest in becoming Detectives. We have a trainee Investigator Programme called the AIDES Programme and are offering officers who have passed their probation the opportunity to transfer directly into this. The program sets a clear, achievable timeline for achieving PIP2 accreditation within 18 months of joining and offers invaluable experience within Investigations.   • Initial Suitability Check - confirming you are substantive, from a home office force and do not have any active complaints
  • Interview - interviews will be conducted in person against our
  • Discussion of posting and start date taking into account, preferences, location and vacancies within the force
  • Fitness Test (if not valid from home force), medical, Vetting, PDR/Suitability form/ Line Manager Appraisal rom your current force and Skill verification
  • Final Offer and confirmed start date/posting details
  • Reference obtained from your home force confirming service dates etc.
