With our continuous growth, we are seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our dynamic BA Chapter and contribute their unique ideas and perspectives.What you'll be doingA key leadership role within the technology team responsible for developing our Business Analysis chapter into a destination for BA talent. As this is a maternity cover role, the successful candidate will be expected to quickly build trust and rapport with a large team of Business Analysts, ensuring continuity and stability during the fixed-term period.Your primary focus will be line management, performance management, talent development, career framework and chapter development, driving initiatives to empower our BAs and elevate our Analysis capabilities to industry-leading standards. You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing our external reputation for technology excellence through strategic initiatives and partnerships.You will work as both part of a self-organizing team of senior managers within the BA chapter, and as an internal consultant, offering coaching, mentoring and training to team members.Ultimately, your leadership as the Business Analysis Manager will be instrumental in shaping the future of Analysis at Dunelm, defining and leading the strategy and approach for Analysis across Dunelm Technology.Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate the ability to rapidly establish strong working relationships with a diverse team of up to 15 Business Analysts
  • Provide line management overseeing up to 15 Business Analysts’ well-being, performance, and career development.
  • Develop and implement talent development initiatives, including training programs, mentorship opportunities, and skill enhancement workshops to support the professional growth of our Business Analysts.
  • Collaborate with Tech People Partner and Tech senior leadership to enhance and implement a comprehensive Career Framework that outlines clear career paths, competencies, and progression criteria for Business Analysts.
  • Lead on chapter development, taking ownership of chapter initiatives on topics such as engagement.
  • Define, drive and enforce the chapter strategy forward as part of the BA Leadership team.
  • Lead the development and maturity of the chapter, fostering knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and openness.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and establish individual development plans to support the career advancement of Business Analysts.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative, promoting a culture of belonging and respect for all team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to talent management, performance evaluation, and career development.
  • Lead and collaborate recruitment efforts to attract and onboard top Business Analysis talent.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and transparency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging techniques, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and onboarding top Business Analysis talent, with a keen eye for identifying and assessing candidates.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and waterfall techniques to support different needs from across the business
Desirable skills:
  • Experience of Business Analysis within a multichannel retailer and/or manufacturer.
  • Understanding of modern Analysis techniques used within retail environments.
