2020 Recruitment are working with our engineering client who are looking to add a Fitter to their team in Irvine on a permanent basis.This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week on a day and night weekly rotation.To be considered for this role it is essential that you have experience within a similar role.The RoleAs the Fitter you will be responsible for the assembly and test of various customer specifications. Accuracy and attention to detail are key as well as being able to work in line with the companies’ standards.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Fitter your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
  • Assemble components in line with customer / Company specifications and procedures.
  • Bending and threading of light bore hydraulic tubing to customer Schematic drawings.
  • Pressure testing in line with specifications.
  • Maintaining and promoting Health and Safety procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role you must have the following:
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ability to work independently whist delivering the highest standards
  • Forklift license and overhead crane experience would be highly advantageous
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Irvine
