As a trusted partner in healthcare, Winncare continues to lead with innovation, compassion, and a relentless pursuit of quality.This is an exciting time for Winncare as we experience organisational growth and new opportunities to join our highly skilled, professional, and committed team in a great working environment.An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced and capable individual to join our production team in Bradford in the role of Production Supervisor.Acting as part of the local leadership team, the successful candidate will contribute to overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and effective supervision of the production area.This will include overseeing routine production activities, troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise on the production floor. The Production Supervisor will hold responsibility for the manufacturing area including people management and health, safety, and environmental governance.This is a critical role supporting production activities and continuity, and the postholder will be expected to use skills, knowledge, and experience to support all activities.Additionally, the postholder will act as a keyholder.Key tasks and accountabilities associated with the role are as follows:
  • Plan, manage, and oversee all production activities, ensuring smooth workflows and achievement of production targets.
  • Supervise and coordinate production staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting training and development.
  • Act as part of the supervisory/site leadership team, ensuring products meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor work orders and material availability, expediting parts, supplies, and resources to prevent delays or downtime.
  • Liaise with supply chain, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of components and raw materials.
  • Analyse production workflows to identify and resolve inefficiencies, recommending cost-saving and productivity improvements; contribute to monitoring inventory levels, balancing supply requirements with waste reduction.
  • Provide daily, monthly, and ad hoc reports, including KPIs, performance metrics, and improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, handling any incidents or non-compliance within the production area.
  • Take full responsibility for adherence to health, safety, and environmental governance, always ensuring safe working practices.
  • Lead by example in maintaining correct behaviours and governance related to HSE.
Applicants should possess experience gained in a manufacturing/production environment with a strong understanding of processes and effective and efficient production leadership. Strong supervisory abilities with the ability to motivate and foster a collaborative working environment are essential as is the ability to identify and resolve production planning and execution to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.Familiarity with production activities and practices and associated software tools for scheduling, reporting and inventory control is essential as are good verbal, communication, and experience working in a team and collaborating with colleagues.The successful candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, able to work with speed and accuracy and be flexible, adaptable with an energetic approach to work.As there may be travel to other Company locations, possessing a UK driving licence is essential.Any experience in a medical device or other regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., ISO 13485) would be a distinct advantage as would familiarity with documentation and traceability requirements in regulated industries however this is not essential.Our production team is a happy team therefore it is important the successful applicant has good verbal communication skills, be flexible in approach to work and possess experience of working in a busy team, collaborating with colleagues.
