- Ensure all products meet quality standards through inspections, audits, and corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement a leadership and development programme with the Production Manager and HR to enhance team and individual performance.
- Lead, train, and mentor team members to promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain succession plans to ensure long-term business sustainability.
- Allocate work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely task completion and adherence to production deadlines.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement lean-based strategies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate production records, including quality control logs, attendance, and operational reports.
- Report regularly on production performance, quality metrics, risks, and improvement plans to senior management.
- Ensure smooth cross-departmental coordination to meet overall production targets.
- Understanding of lean principles and a proven track record of driving improvements.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency with production tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
