If so, then this role could be for you!We have a vacancy for a Faculty Planning & Operations Manager based in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. This role will provide high-level support to departments within the Faculty. The role also supports the Faculty planning processes, strategic initiatives and operational delivery, reporting to the Senior Faculty Planning and Operations Manager and working closely with the Faculty management team.We are looking for someone who can work autonomously, with authority, to foster and maintain excellent working relationships with staff at all levels.The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong inter-personal and networking skills, with the ability to establish positive and effective working relationship with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Very good problem solving, with the ability to work proactively and collaboratively to resolve issues.
  • Strong written, presentational and oral communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to a range of audiences.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the proven ability to manage and balance a complex workload.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills, including the ability to analyse complex data sets to provide conclusions and solutions.
  • Experience of strategic planning, project management and/or operations management.
A little more about the team:You'll be welcomed into a dynamic and ambitious Faculty Planning Team that is part of the wider University Strategic Planning Directorate.The University Strategic Planning Directorate is responsible for the delivery of institutional strategy through oversight of the planning process, monitoring and analysing institutional performance, assessing risk and supporting strategy developments. The team provides essential guidance and support for the implementation strategic priorities.The roles are a great opportunity to learn new skills, build a strong network with a variety of stakeholders, and get involved in exciting initiatives and projects.
