Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)About the Role:
A specialist provision in Winslow is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). You will be part of a caring, experienced team providing personalised support to help students achieve their full potential academically and socially.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to pupils with SLD in and out of class
- Assist with structured learning programmes and sensory activities
- Encourage independence and life skills development
- Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals
- Support behaviour and communication strategies tailored to each student
- Assist with personal care when necessary
- Previous experience working with children with SLD or additional needs (preferred)
- A patient, calm, and adaptable approach
- Understanding of SEN strategies and willingness to undertake training
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
