Maths Teacher | North Manchester | Step TeachersStep Teachers Manchester is working with a high-performing secondary school in North Manchester to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting September 2025. This role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths (up to GCSE level) and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a well-supported department in a school with strong leadership and a commitment to excellence.The Role: Maths Teacher - KS3/KS4
  • Location: North Manchester.
  • Start Date: September 2025.
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for a permanent position).
  • Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Pay: Up to £230/day depending on experience (paid directly via PAYE - no umbrella!).
  • Progression: Move onto the school's pay scale after week 13.
  • Travel: Well-connected via public transport & free onsite parking.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Supporting students in achieving their potential, particularly in preparation for GCSEs.
  • Working collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and leaders.
  • Tracking progress, planning interventions, and contributing to departmental planning.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning across your classes.
Who We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS - essential.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level.
  • Confident in planning and delivering lessons that are inclusive and challenging.
  • Passionate about making Maths enjoyable and accessible for all learners.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to professional development.
