We're seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join secondary schools across York and the surrounding areas as a Teaching Assistant.Whether you have experience in education, childcare, mentoring, tutoring, or youth work, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students' learning and development.As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping teachers deliver lessons, supporting individual student needs, and fostering a positive learning environment.Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Provide in-class support to enhance student learning and engagement
- Assist with lesson preparation, activities, and classroom organisation
- Work one-to-one or with small groups to meet specific learning needs
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student participation
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Friendly, approachable individuals with a genuine passion for education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
