As a CS, this role offers an exciting opportunity to supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
  • Supervise lessons across a range of subjects using pre-prepared resources.
  • Ensure pupils stay on task and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Support students with their learning and answer general queries.
  • Report back on pupil progress and classroom engagement.
  • Uphold safeguarding and promote a positive learning environment.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different classrooms and year groups.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
