- Working with the Business Development Manager, provide input into the business planning process, helping to identify market and client trends, and growth opportunities from existing and new potential clients.
- Working with the Business Development Manager, create targeted business development and marketing plans that flow from each practice group's business plans, to help achieve the financial, client and market penetration objectives.
- Help to build and update client plans for key firm clients - liaising with partners directly, with support from the Business Development Manager.
- Work with members across the Business Development and Marketing team to ensure that activities are aligned across practice groups and cross-firm initiatives to ensure a 'one firm' approach to clients and to business development activities.
- Provide input in relation to external network activity and opportunities, including membership organisations and international law firm referrals.
- Ensure the delivery of a first-class service on all marketing and business development activities and responsiveness to requests for Business Development support.
- Working with Partners and PAs, keep mailing lists and website bios regularly updated.
- Collaborate with the pitch team to ensure template pitch and marketing materials are updated frequently and assist on specific requests for credentials and pitch materials.
- Work with the Communications, Events, Front of House and Kitchen teams to ensure that all client facing and referral events for the practices are planned, organised and delivered to the highest standards, including helping to coordinate invitations.
- Work with the Knowledge and Communications teams to plan and deliver targeted thought leadership to clients to keep clients on top of latest legal developments and to raise the profile of the practice's priority areas through targeted materials on the website, through email marketing, on LinkedIn and other appropriate channels.
- Work with the Business Development Manager to write the directory and awards submissions.
- Work with the Events team to assess the value and relevance of various sponsorship, events and other corporate hospitality opportunities to ensure best value for the firm and our clients and support stakeholders with prep in the run-up to any event and with follow-up after.

- A minimum of 1 year experience working in a business development role in a professional services organisation or relevant advisory service.
- Graduate with a relevant professional marketing and/or business qualification - preferable.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Able to lead and manage meetings with partners and senior players with confidence and an assured approach.
- Flexible team player with a 'can do' attitude.
