- Proven experience working in a public sector or emergency service environment, with a strong understanding of emergency planning and response.
- Demonstrated experience working within partnership or multi-departmental environments, engaging effectively at various organisational levels.
- Awareness of the Civil Contingencies Act and emergency planning frameworks.
- Hold a relevant training qualification or have experience in delivering training and exercises in a resilience or emergency planning context to multiple audiences.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to engage and advise individuals at different levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to assess risks and develop practical, effective plans and capabilities.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to working across multiple agency groups and local authorities.
