
Senior Hydrologist

- Developing hydrological assessments, including flood risk assessments, water resource assessments, and drought risk assessments.
- Conducting hydrological modelling and analysis to support conceptual site models and risk assessments.
- Preparing technical reports, proposals, and other documents for clients and regulators.
- Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
- Collaborating with principal staff members on project management and technical guidance.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
- A postgraduate degree level qualification in either Catchment Management, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Geography, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, or similar.
- At least 4 years demonstratable practical and technical experience.
- Experience of hydrological calculations using ReFH2 and WINFAP.
- Experience in the application of hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW and HEC-RAS.
- Experience with Grapher, GIS and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience of UK planning regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Team and project management skills commensurate with your grade and experience.
- A valid full UK driving licence.

- A salary in the region of £30,000 to £40,000 with a higher salary potentially negotiable.
- Permanent contract, working 40 hours per week within Monday to Friday.
- Available office working locations: Stirling, Scotland, Melbourne, Derbyshire, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, and Aske, North Yorkshire.
